I have watched April B. and Adam S. use Pear Deck and am so excited to try it this year!!
I adapted a map presentation I use for the beginning of the year:
Map Pear Deck-Sawyer- Unit 1
This is part of a discussion about why we use different maps and why maps are distorted. I would have students follow along and make comments as we discuss maps.
Can you put text and images on one slide? Or, can you put multiple image on one slide?
Seeing PearDeck in action live is a great experience. It's hard to do it justice just looking at the slides but I can imagine the commentary students would have about different kinds of maps. Coolio!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you did figure out text and images on one slide. Bravo.
ReplyDeleteI was going to reply to the text and image question but I see that you got that figured out. I love Peardeck. Many of my students mentioned that this was one of their favorite things to do with the chromebooks :)
ReplyDeleteGreat looking! I can't wait to collaborate with all of us on this kind of thing more this year. I would recommend playing around with the student response slide in conjunction with this. I only used it a couple of times this year in college prep, but was amazed at what some of my quieter students expressed and knew when they could just type it instead of saying it out loud.
ReplyDeleteJackie, this looks great! I haven't created a pear deck for class either. I used one that someone else created and it went very well. Students loved it. I am excited to use more of it this year as well.
